Woodmere Fitness Club is the only Starting Strength Affiliate Gym on Long Island. We teach the basic barbell lifts according to the Starting Strength model and provide on-site coaching and programming. We have women-only training groups as well as personal training for men, women, and teens.
WFC also offers general fitness classes for women of all fitness levels as well as an after-school WFC Girls Club.
We believe that a strong body is the scaffolding for a healthy life!

TUFF Boxing is divided into 2 parts: boxing on the punching bag and circuit training. The perfect blend of strength and conditioning, this workout is fueled by jamming music and fierce boxing combos. Custom gloves may be purchased at our front desk.

The X - Circuit $35 per classFrom $25 per visit with 10 Class Pass pass

Circuit training is a combination of multiple full-body exercises performed with short rest periods between them for either a set number of repetitions or a prescribed amount of time. Equipment includes: TRX, sandbags, kettlebells, rowers, battle ropes, etc.

2020 Deadlift Competition - Test your strength in the deadlift at the first meet of the new year! Conventional deadlift only, three attempts, awards will be given to the top 3 winners, best grind and masters. Winners will be calculated using the Wilkes formula. Open to men , women and teens.

Starting Strength Groups (Women Only)

For those individuals seeking to gain strength, increase your body's ability to burn fat and build strong bones. This program can be done by both beginner to advanced lifters alike.

Intro to Starting Strength Session $185 per appointment

In this 90-minute class, you will learn about the Starting Strength method and find out everything you need to know to get started in learning the basic barbell lifts: squat, press, bench press and deadlift. All Intro Sessions are led by one of our certified Starting Strength coaches and cost $185 (student discount 15% off with code “STUDENT”). We require that every member attends a 90 minute intro class before joining our groups to ensure they can train with us safely and effectively)

Starting Strength Groups - Teen Boys (Separate Membership) $249

Teenagers should lift weights. It’s safe, it’s infinitely adjustable to the individual’s strength level, and the loads can be incrementally increased so that it’s always programmed to produce improvement in strength, power, and bone density. The same thing applies to adults and strength training, but the effects of starting out young are beneficial for the rest of your life. Teens will learn the basics of weight training, proper technique and how to stay safe when using weights. They will work in pairs with their training partners, learning how to spot each other and have fun working out. This group is designed for beginners.

Classic Birthday Party Package

WFC offers a high energy party filled with a mix of the most popular party dances and age appropriate games. All parties are customizable! Let us know your theme and we do our best to accommodate your birthday wishes.

A party is 90 minutes and includes basic birthday paper goods, one slice of pizza per child, water, and music. Experienced hosts set-up and clean-up. Cost $500 dollars.
